Winstrol Depot is an oral anabolic steroid that was created by Winthrop’s lab in 1950 under the popular brand name Winstrol. A little later, an injectable version of this steroid appears on the consumer market. It was called Winstrol Depot. And although this form of the steroid was more successful in terms of therapeutic parameters, oral Winstrol was still more actively used in medical practice. If we talk about the use of a steroid for sports purposes, then both forms of the drug are equally actively used here. Very rarely, an athlete makes a choice based on the advantages of one or another option, as a rule, numerous myths and legends that are present in abundance in most forums dedicated to hormonal anabolics make themselves felt.
However, regardless of the form of release (oral or injectable), Winstrol Depot has been and remains one of the most popular and sought after anabolic steroids. This drug is actively used in almost all sports and is the invariable favorite of most professional bodybuilders. Winstrol Depot was created by replacing the keto group with an A-ring. This transformation converts the drug into a heterocyclic steroid. Also, the alky element 17 – alpha was introduced into the composition of Winstrol Depot, which allows it to freely pass through the liver.
Winstrol Depot is a steroid that has a pronounced anabolic nature. Its anabolic rating is 320. Due to the structural changes described above, the androgenic activity of the steroid, on the contrary, is significantly underestimated and has a rating of 20. Female bodybuilders always have trouble using winstrol when they try to use it in injectable form. Than for injectable. Based on this, injectable Winstrol can generally be safely removed from production. Although the effect of the Winstrol injection noticeably decreases after a few days and at least two more injections per week are needed, undesirable accumulations of androgens in the female body may occur, which will lead to masculinization phenomena. And the low voice of this or that athlete is explained, of course, by Winstrol Depot. And yet, a dose of 50 mg of injectable Winstrol every other day in ambitious athletes is more the rule than the exception. Other non-androgenic side effects such as headaches, muscle spasms, and in rare cases high blood pressure can occur in both men and women. The possibility of liver damage with the injectable form of Winstrol is very small. However, at high doses this can occur. Since Winstrol Depot is dissolved in water, injections are usually somewhat more painful and unpleasant than in cases of oily solutions. There is another drawback – with frequent injections, scar tissue gradually forms on the buttocks, which forces athletes to inject Winstrol into the arms, shoulders and hips.
Benefits of Winstrol
The composition of Winstrol has never been considered a steroid that would increase muscle relief. It is very rare to find a bodybuilder who uses it during the off-season. It is best to use Winstrol Depot for excess fat burning cycles. In fact, it can be used in muscle building programs to reduce SHBG levels. However, due to the high level of hepatoxicity that is inherent in this drug, its use can be called rather unreasonable.
That is, for athletes, this drug is the No. 1 choice when it comes to the need to increase strength and endurance. And if you need to build additional muscle relief, look for another steroid for yourself. However, you must understand that Winstrol Depot will not reveal additional sports talent in you and in order to achieve meaningful results, you will need to continue to work hard on yourself. Very often, it is the misconception about the activity of this drug that prevents the athlete from achieving the desired goal.

Myth #1: Athletes should not start Winstrol Depot as it significantly weakens a person’s tendons.
Truth: Numerous studies prove that Winstrol Depot only strengthens bone and cartilage tissue. After all, if it were not so, doctors would not use this steroid for the treatment of osteoporosis.
Myth #2: Winstrol Depot is bad for your joints.
Truth: This drug does not contain any components that could harm human joints. The fact is that most often Winstrol Depot is used during the period of burning excess body fat, and this period usually negatively affects the joints and causes pain, regardless of the use of steroid anabolics.
The positive effects that are noted while taking Winstrol Depot are most pronounced at the peak of the cycle, and are very important for professional bodybuilders who take part in competitions. This steroid will help the athlete maintain previously acquired muscle relief during the diet. This is not to say that this is the best drug for these purposes, but still it can give a certain positive effect. Winstrol in different sports
Winstrol Depot is generally one of the favorite steroids of most athletes. Stanozolol is, for example, one of the chemicals that gave Ben Jonson his amazing results. This substance provided this remarkable athlete with such a noticeable increase in muscle and such beautifully defined muscles that another bodybuilder would envy him. At the very first bodybuilding championship among professionals, where doping control was carried out (1990), the winner Sean Ray and Canadian professional Nimrod King were convicted of taking Winstrol (Flex, July 1990). All this speaks in favor of the fact that Winstrol is a very effective steroid if used correctly. It is important to distinguish between two forms of release of the drug. Injectable Winstrol Depot is much more effective than oral Winstrol.
A gross mistake, incriminating an amateur who simply “read a lot” of popular literature and decided to write “something like that” himself. Every specialist in pharmacology will tell you that three drugs: stanozolol, ethylestrenol and oxandrolone, when taken internally, have a 10 (!) times higher anabolic index (AI) than when taken parenterally (intramuscular injection). This is due to the fact that the above drugs have a highly beneficial effect on the liver tissue. And half of the muscle proteins are first synthesized in the liver and only then transported to the muscles. The peculiarity of Winstrol Depot is that its active chemical is not dissolved in oil, as is usually done with most steroids, but in water. And although almost every bodybuilder who has experience taking steroids knows this difference, this knowledge is rarely used in practice. The intervals between injections of Winstrol Depot should be shorter than when taking other steroids. This means that Winstrol Depot should be administered more frequently than oil-dissolved steroids (Primonobol, Deca-Durabolin, Sustanon-250, Parabolan, etc.). The reason is the relatively short half-life of steroids dissolved in water, which quickly enter the bloodstream, but do not act for long.
The main field of application of Winstrol is bodybuilding, the period of preparation for competitions. When combined with a calorie-restricted, high-protein diet, Winstrol gives the muscles firmness and elasticity. Injectable Winstrol during a diet is usually not taken as the only steroid, because, due to its low androgenic component, it does not protect the athlete well from loss of muscle tissue. The absence of a pronounced androgenic effect is optimally compensated by the combined use of any of the Trenbolone options. Although there is no scientific explanation, the synergistic effect is supported by numerous examples from prevention. The combination of Winstrol Depot 50 mg per day and Finaject (Trenbolone Acetate – see Finanject) 30 mg per day was the “top combination” of the champions of the 80s. Since Finanject is no longer produced, Parabolan took over for a while. Depending on the level of achievement, athletes usually took 50 mg Winstrol Depot every 1–2 days and 76 mg/1.5 ml every 1–3 days. However, Parabolan is now out of production.
Other steroids that are successfully taken in preparation for competition along with Winstrol Depot are Masteron, Equipoise, Halotestin, Oxandrolone, Testosterone Propionate, Primobolan.
Injectable Winstrol is suitable not only for preparing for competitions, but also in the off-season, during the period of muscle building. It does not contribute to water retention, so rapid gains in body weight with Winstrol are unlikely. Yet there is an increase in musculature and an even greater proportional increase in strength, which, as soon as the drug is discontinued, most often remain.
Bodybuilders who want to build strength and mass often combine Winstrol Depot with Dianabol, Anadrol 50, Testosterones and Deca-Durabolin. Athletes of the older age group and beginners in steroid cycles can achieve good increases in Winstrol Depot and Primobolan Depot.
Winstrol should not be combined with anything. This in itself is a wonderful and harmless drug. “Bizarre” combinations are typical only for those authors who want to impress their readers as much as possible. In the scientific academic literature, recommendations are sometimes made for combinations of anabolic steroids, but all of them do not go beyond the scope of r-drugs, all are scientifically substantiated and experimentally confirmed. Here, recommendations on combinations are given “from the lantern”, nothing has been proven or confirmed in any way. At the same time, they have a relatively harmless combination at their disposal, which, as a rule, does not cause significant side effects and leaves “a lot of room” for beginners for stronger “things” that are not needed in this phase.
Dosage of Winstrol Depot
Injectable Winstrol is primarily an anabolic steroid with a relatively mild androgenic effect, which, however, can become noticeable in women at doses as low as 50 mg per week, in men at much higher dosages.
Practice has shown that Winstrol Depot 50 mg / ml should be administered at least twice a week, and the best results are observed with daily injections.
But science has proven that water-soluble winstrol in ampoules is excreted from the body as quickly as in tablets. Therefore, it is used with the same frequency – 2-3 times a day. An obstacle is the overestimated dosage of ampouled Winstrol. If one tablet contains 2.5-5 mg, then 1 ampoule – 50 mg. This is too much to administer 2-3 times a day. On the other hand, the more rare administration of the drug is simply useless. Therefore, the ampouled form of Winstrol should be considered unsuccessful. The active chemical substance Stanozolol is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone, therefore Winstrol does not aromatize into estrogens and only rarely causes water retention.
Winstrol both aromatizes and causes water retention, and in general you can’t write about what you don’t understand at all.
The ability to retain water in the body does not depend on the steroid. It depends on the hormonal background of the athlete himself. For some users, methandrostenolone retains water, while stanozolol does not. Others have the opposite picture. Stanazolol causes a large water retention, and methandrostenolone gives an increase in lean muscle mass. It all depends on the glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid background of the athlete himself. The same can be said about aromatization. The degree of aromatization of a particular drug depends solely on the state of the athlete’s liver and its membrane-stabilizing systems.
Side Effects of Winstrol Depot
Indeed, on the course of Winstrol Depot, some side effects may make themselves felt. It cannot be called the most dangerous among anabolic steroids, but there is still some negative effect. Most healthy men can safely take this drug without any side effects. This also applies to women, however, if they take the steroid in small doses.
